Rule & Conduct

Everything inside InnerCrusade stands under Christ.

Our words, posture, choices, correction, gatherings, online conduct, leadership and brotherhood must reflect Him.

Christ is Lord and King. He is humble, but not weak. Gentle, but not passive. Loving, but not conflict-avoidant. Obedient unto death. Heroic in His mission.

For this reason, no man inside InnerCrusade is lifted above correction. No leader. No host. No mentor. No speaker. No brother.

A man who wants to walk under Christ must be correctable.

InnerCrusade is not a place for men who want to put themselves on display.

Not online.

Not offline.

Not in words.

Not in posture.

Not in leadership.

Not in conduct.

A man who is looking for a stage here is in the wrong place.

Ego can disguise itself as strength, vision, discipline, spirituality or leadership. But wherever a man puts himself at the centre, Christ disappears from the middle.

For this reason, ego is bounded here.

No boasting. No dominance. No status games. No spiritual superiority. No humiliation of other men. No posture of “I am further along than you.” No hardness that pretends to be truth.

A man under Christ does not need to make himself larger.

InnerCrusade does not believe in soft masculinity without a spine.

But we also do not believe in hard masculinity without the cross.

A Christian man is strong under Christ. He serves without becoming weak. He leads without becoming proud. He carries responsibility without seeking applause. He protects without dominating. He speaks the truth without lifting himself up.

Strength here is not ego.

Strength is obedience.

Strength is service.

Strength is self-control.

Strength is faithfulness when no one is watching.

Real brotherhood is not only encouragement. It is also correction.

A brother who sees another man drifting does not stay silent for the sake of comfort. He speaks. Not to humiliate, but to call him back.

Correction inside InnerCrusade is not an attack. It is protection of the community and a call to repentance.

But correction itself must also stand under Christ. No anger. No humiliation. No abuse of power. No public shaming to make an impression.

First as brothers. Then clearly. Then with limits, when limits are needed.

A man who refuses correction cannot walk in healthy brotherhood.

Online, the same order holds as offline.

No hatred.

No humiliation.

No sexual remarks.

No intimidation.

No political agitation.

No provocation to win.

No spiritual manipulation.

No macho poses.

No contempt toward other men, women, families, churches or people who are seeking.

Discussion may be sharp, but not proud. Truth may be clear, but not loveless. Fire may be visible, but not unclean.

A man who parades his ego online will be corrected. A man who persists in it will be limited or removed.

At gatherings, retreats, times of prayer, teachings and other meetings, the same rule holds:

Everything under Christ.

Men do not come together to make an impression. They come together to pray, to listen, to learn, to confess, to build and to be formed.

For this reason we expect sobriety, self-control, respect, attentiveness and a servant posture.

No intimidating posture. No dominance in conversation. No boasting. No inappropriate jokes. No sexual or degrading remarks. No behaviour that makes others unsafe.

A gathering of InnerCrusade must feel like brotherhood under Christ, not like a place where the loudest man takes the room.

A man who leads carries heavier responsibility.

A host, mentor, speaker or leader inside InnerCrusade is not given a stage to show himself. He is given responsibility to serve.

Leadership inside InnerCrusade means:

pray before you speak

listen before you steer

serve before you lead

correct without lifting yourself up

protect without dominating

carry responsibility without seeking applause

A man who uses leadership for status, influence, attention or control loses the trust to lead.

Not every man comes in with the same strength.

Some are young in faith. Some are broken. Some carry guilt, shame, addiction, loss, fatherlessness, confusion or spiritual exhaustion.

InnerCrusade is not a place where such men are used, humiliated or driven.

They are not called weak to make an impression. They are not corrected in public to make someone else look strong. They are not manipulated with spiritual language.

A broken man needs truth, but also protection. Correction, but also patience. Direction, but also brotherhood.

The way men speak about women, marriage, family and the young must reflect Christ.

No contempt. No coarse speech. No sexual remarks. No bitterness disguised as masculinity. No jokes that degrade women. No posture that treats the family only as possession, status or achievement.

A Christian man carries responsibility for his house. He serves, protects, leads and sacrifices. Not out of control, but under Christ.

The young are not used as an audience so older men can make themselves large. They are protected, formed, taken seriously and pointed to Christ.

When conduct goes against this rule, correction follows.

The normal way is:

1. Brotherly correction

2. Clear warning

3. Temporary limitation or removal

4. Permanent exclusion in cases of repetition, manipulation, danger or refusal to repent

In serious situations, InnerCrusade can act directly.

This includes intimidation, sexual boundary-crossing, threat, manipulation, abuse of trust, hateful conduct or the deliberate undermining of the community.

InnerCrusade is not a place where ego is protected at the cost of brothers.

InnerCrusade believes in repentance.

A man can fall. A man can speak wrongly. A man can be led by pride, anger, lust, fear or ego.

But restoration asks for more than words.

Restoration asks for humility. Honesty. Fruit. Willingness to be corrected. Willingness to step back for a season, if that is what is needed.

A man who truly repents is not humiliated. But a man who uses correction as a game, who spends words of remorse without fruit, or who keeps causing the same damage, cannot keep moving freely inside the community.

Grace is not a permit for ego.
